Butler medals at Queens Invitational, Lions finish eighth

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - Mars Hill's Harry Butler took first place at the Queens University Invitational as the tournament concluded Tuesday, September 19. The Lions finished eighth overall.
Butler shot a round best three under par for a final round score of 68. He finished with a two stroke lead over Sam Broadhurst of Lincoln Memorial, shooting -6 for the tournament.
Stephen Thomasson finished tied for 26th with a combined score of six over par. Callum Ritchie and Nicholas Boone also found themselves in the top 50, shooting +10 and +12, respectively. Luke Challis rounded out the Lions squad, shooting 18 over par.
Coker College came away with the team victory, shooting a combined 852 over the three rounds. The Lions finished two strokes behind Lenoir-Rhyne, landing them in eighth place.
