Lions open play at LMU Spring Kickoff Classic
The Mars Hill men's golf team opened up play at the Lincoln Memorial University Spring Kickoff Classic at the St. Johns Golf & Country Club in St. Augustine, Florida Monday afternoon.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Mars Hill men's golf team opened up play at the Lincoln Memorial University Spring Kickoff Classic at the St. Johns Golf & Country Club in St. Augustine, Florida Monday afternoon.
The teams were able to complete one round of play with round two being halted due to darkness. Round two will be completed first thing Tuesday morning and the teams will conclude the three-round tournament on the same day.
The Lions ended round one with a combined team score of 328, +40 over par. Will Byrd shot eight-over par in the first round to lead all Lions' players. Currently, with round two yet to be complete, Nicholas Boone is the top placing Lion, tied for 86th with a +17 score.
Second round play will begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
