Lions open 2019 season at Mars Hill Fall Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The Mars Hill men's golf team sits in fourth place after the first round of the Mars Hill Fall Invitational.

Nicholas Boone sits tied for second place after shooting one-under on the afternoon.  Shooting two-over, Callum Ritchie sits just outside of the top 10, as he ended Monday's round tied for 12th.  Will Byrd shot five-over, placing 24th.

In his collegiate debut, Hayden Estes shot a first-round 78 to sit in 31st while Luke Challis rounded out the Lions' team with a first-round 81 to conclude Monday's play.

Tusculum sits in first place overall with a team score of 286.  Bennett Noe and Noah Jones each hit a first-round 71.

The Mars Hill Fall Invitational concludes on Tuesday afternoon at the Johnson City Country Club.
