Schedule announced for 2011 DSC Tournament
Lions host smifinal round on Thursday night
WINGATE, N.C. - The 2011 Deep South Conference Tournament will take place this week, starting Tuesday afternoon, league officials announced Sunday. The seven-team conference will be split into a north and south region for the tournament, with the winner of each region meeting for the championship game hosted by Saint Leo University on Sunday, April 17.
In the north region, number three seed Catawba will play at number two seed Wingate. That game will take place Tuesday, April 12 at 4 p.m. The winner of that contest will travel to the number one seed Mars Hill for a 7 p.m. start on Thursday, April 14. The winner of that contest will advance to the championship game on Sunday.
In the south region, the number three seed Rollins will travel to play at number two seed Saint Leo Tuesday at 7 p.m. The winner of that contest will travel to play top seed Florida Southern Thursday at 7 p.m. The winner of that will meet the winner of the north region in Sunday's championship contest.
