Cudmore Signs With Charlotte Hounds
CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Former Mars Hill lacrosse player Chris Cudmore has signed with the Major League Lacrosse's Charlotte Hounds organization.
Cudmore was signed out of the MLL Player Pool. Cudmore was previously a fifth-round draft pick of the National Lacrosse League's Minnesota Storm. He has also recently suited up for the Canadian National Lacrosse Team. Cudmore will be competing for playing time as one of 22 midfielders on the Hounds roster.
While at Mars Hill, Cudmore was a three-time All-American. He started a program-best 51 games over the course of his four-year career. He is the school's all-time leader in caused turnovers, with 114 to his credit. Cudmore also scored nine goals, passed out 22 assists and recorded 228 ground balls in his MHC career.
Charlotte opens its season on Saturday, Apr. 27 at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Denver Outlaws. The game will be televised by WMYT-myTV12 in the Charlotte area and will be carried nationally by ESPN3.
The MLL is comprised of eight teams across the U.S. and Canada- the Boston Cannons, Charlotte Hounds, Chesapeake Bayhawks, Denver Outlaws, Hamilton Nationals, New York Lizards, Ohio Machine and Rochester Rattlers. The league began play in 2001.
