McBride Named SAC Offensive Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill junior attack Jimmy McBride has been named the South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced on Monday. McBride wins the weekly honor for the first time in his Mars Hill career.
McBride scored 11 goals and tallied three assists in two games last week. In Wednesday's 19-4 victory over Lees-McRae, McBride scored four goals and had an assist. On Saturday against Coker, McBride tied a career high with seven goals and two assists in the Lions' 17-7 victory that earned the third seed in the SAC Men's Lacrosse Championship.
The New Westminster, British Columbia native is second in the conference with 37 goals and ranks third with 52 points.
Michael Connor of Wingate and Lenoir-Rhyne's Alex Squires were named the Co-Defensive Players of the Week.
Mars Hill will take on Lenoir-Rhyne on Thursday at the Queens Sports Complex in Charlotte, N.C. at a to-be-announced time.
