Six Lions Named to All-SAC Team

The South Atlantic Conference has announced the inaugural All-Conference team for Men’s Lacrosse, with six Mars Hill players earning spots.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The South Atlantic Conference has announced the inaugural All-Conference team for Men's Lacrosse, with six Mars Hill players earning spots.

Junior attack Jimmy McBride and junior midfielder Anthony Malcolm were First Team All-SAC selections. McBride, the reigning SAC Player of the Week, is second in the league with 37 goals and third with 52 points. Malcolm has scored 21 goals with 21 assists and is tied for the team lead with 45 ground balls.

Junior midfielder Ryan Sage, junior defender Zach Gregg and senior goalkeeper Patrick McMahon were named to the All-SAC Second Team. Sage leads the SAC with 38 goals and is fourth with 45 points. Gregg has one assist while starting every game for Mars Hill. McMahon is third in the league with 153 saves and is fifth in save percentage at 54.8 percent. McMahon has started every game in net for Mars Hill over the past two seasons.

Senior attack Adam Zulak earned a spot on the All-SAC Honorable Mention team. Zulak has 19 goals and 21 assists in 13 games this season.

Mars Hill will play Lenoir-Rhyne Thursday in the South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship semifinals in Charlotte.
