Lions fall in non-conference thriller versus Emmanuel
The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (3-10) was downed by Emmanuel (4-9) in a thrilling non-conference game Wednesday evening.

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (3-10) was downed by Emmanuel (4-9) in a thrilling non-conference game Wednesday evening.
Mars Hill entered the final frame up 9-8 before three goals from Emmanuel provided them a two-goal advantage with 5:09 remaining in the contest. Mars Hill's Tremain Hill scored his second of the game to pull within one with just over three minutes remaining, but the Lions were unable to narrow the gap further.
Emmanuel outscored the Lions' 4-2 after the first 15 minutes of play with Alex Stull's two goals leading the way. Zac Carrigan netted both goals for Mars Hill.
In the second frame, Mars Hill flipped the script, scoring five of the seven goals. Zach Wright netted two while the final three goals of the frame were all assisted on by Jake Trafton. Mars Hill carried a 7-6 lead into the half.
The third stanza saw both teams score twice. Carrigan collected a goal and an assist for Mars Hill while Shamaz Durrant did the same for Emmanuel.
Stull led all players with six goals while Durrant added six points (2g, 4a). Mars Hill was led by Carrigan (3g, 1a) and Trafton's (4a) four points on the night. Hill netted a hat-trick for Mars Hill.
The Lions return to South Atlantic Conference play on Saturday, April 13th when they take on Lenoir-Rhyne. Faceoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
