SALISBURY, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's soccer team (1-3-1, 0-2 SAC) was felled by a score of 3-0 versus Catawba (2-2, 1-1 SAC) Saturday evening.
In the 33rd minute, the Indians struck first as Borja Gaspar scored his first of the season. The Lions outshot Catawba three-to-one in the final 12 minutes of the half, but were unable to tie the score.
Eight minutes into the second half, the Indians' Carson Talboys doubled the lead. Just over 10 minutes later, Joseph Alleron added an insurance marker to put Catawba up 3-0. Simone Trentin had two assists on the night.
Sebastian Bertilsson attempted a game-high seven shots while Roberto Haddad and Walker Henderson each added two shots apiece.
Mars Hill returns home on Wednesday, September 25th when they host Belmont Abbey. The contest is slated for a 7:30 p.m. start.
