Mars Hill closes out 2019 season versus Railsplitters

HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill men's soccer team (4-12-1, 0-10 SAC) was defeated 5-0 by Lincoln Memorial (6-7-3, 5-4-1 SAC) Friday afternoon.
The Railsplitters' Alan Brandao recorded the first two goals of the contest, the first coming just 5:45 into the match. The first strike came on one of two Lincoln Memorial penalty kick tallies. Brandao later doubled the Railsplitters' lead in the 32nd minute.
Kasimir Lauber assited on Brandao's second marker and picked up his second assist of the contest on Pedro da Silva's score in the 35th minute.
Late in the contest, Aurochit Patnaik put the Railsplitters up 4-0 on their second converted penalty kick. Joseph Sefoi added the fifth goal in the final minute of play.
The Lions outshot Lincoln Memorial 7-6 in the second half, forcing Caio Bergamo to make three saves on the day. Adnan Saltagic, Walker Henderson, and Roberto Haddad recorded the three shots on goal.
Mars Hill ends the 2019 campaign with a record of 4-12-1.
