Guyer Named ASC Coach of the Year For Second Consecutive Year
MARS HILL, N.C. – Mars Hill's men's and women's swim coach Teddy Guyer has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Men's Coach of the Year for the second consecutive time.
MARS HILL, N.C. – Mars Hill's men's and women's swim coach Teddy Guyer has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Men's Coach of the Year for the second consecutive time. This is Guyer's fifth time being honored as the top coach within the conference.
Teddy has guided the men's team to an impressive 10-1 record during dual meets this season and has watched his team win the Igloo invite and place second at the conference swim meet. The women's team has also fared very well under the guidance of Guyer, sporting an 11-1 overall record in dual meets and placing 5th in the conference meet this year.
Teddy has been the coach of the Mars Hill Lions swim program since its inception in 2005. Guyer has over 30 years of experience in coaching and aquatics and has coached 59 All Conference Swimmers, has had 16 swimmers make NCAA National Cuts, and has coached a swimmer to All-American status in 2013 and All-American honorable mention status in 2011 and 2012.
