The Mars Hill men's swimming team opened their 2018-19 season with a 154.50-107.50 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne Friday evening.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's swimming team opened their 2018-19 season with a 154.50-107.50 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne Friday evening.
Erwin Ortiz won three individual events and was part of the winning 200 yard freestyle relay team, along with Illya Buryak, Elijah Sears and Vitor Goncalves. Ortiz took first in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:10.41, the 100 yard butterfly in 53.23 and the 500 yard freestyle in 4:49.69.
Harrison Butler won the 50 yard and 100 yard backstroke races with times of 25.33 and 55.30, respectively.
