North Greenville Knocks Off Men's Tennis
North Greenville won 5-4 over Mars Hill
MARS HILL, N.C.- The Mars Hill men's tennis team dropped a tough 5-4 decision to North Greenville on Thursday afternoon at Hart Tennis Complex. The Lions even their season record at 2-2.
North Greenville led 2-1 after doubles play. Alberto Ortiz and Alejandre Ozaki defeated Sjors van Eck and Marcelo Yshikawa 8-4 on the second doubles court. Ortiz won number two singles 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (5-0) over Sergio Araujo. Markus Gattner defeated Edmundo Torres 6-0, 6-2 at number five singles with Ozaki claiming a 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (12-0 ) victory at number six singles.
Mars Hill concludes the fall portion of their schedule on Sunday, traveling to Tusculum for a 1 p.m. match.
