Lions roar past Lees-McRae
The Mars Hill men's tennis team won their second straight contest, downing Lees-McRae 7-2 Thursday afternoon.
BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team won their second straight contest, downing Lees-McRae 7-2 Thursday afternoon.
The Lions swept all three doubles contests over the Bobacats. The team of Ben Reid and Tom Farman won the 7-6 tiebreak over Gabriel Muniz and Sebastian Zuhr. Fernando Neto and Rodrigo Ramos rolled past Matt Meluch and Rusty Batten by a score of 8-2. The duo of Pedro Pinassi and Kyrel Trim also won a 7-6 decision.
Neto, Pinassi, Ramos and Trim also picked up singles' wins to help lead Mars Hill to a decisive 7-2 victory over Lees-McRae.
Mars Hill returns to the Hart Tennis Complex on Saturday, February 17 with a contest versus Pfeiffer. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
