Lions downed by Bears in conference action
The Mars Hill men's tennis team (6-8) was defeated by Lenoir-Rhyne (10-1) by a score of 7-0 in South Atlantic Conference play Thursday afternoon at the Hart Tennis Complex.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (6-8) was defeated by Lenoir-Rhyne (10-1) by a score of 7-0 in South Atlantic Conference play Thursday afternoon at the Hart Tennis Complex.
The Bears took two of the three doubles' matches played to earn the 1-0 edge heading into singles action. The duo of Fernando Neto and Kyrel Trim earned the lone Lions' win on the day.
In singles action, the Bears won all six matches in straight sets.
Mars Hill returns to action on Tuesday, March 19th versus Lincoln Memorial in South Atlantic Conference play. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
