Men's and Women's Track Conclude ETSU Invitational
JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – The Mars Hill men’s and women’s track and field teams finished the ETSU Invitational with solid performances on Saturday, January 14.
JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – The Mars Hill men's and women's track and field teams finished the ETSU Invitational with solid performances on Saturday, January 14. Several runners posted personal bests for the Lions.
Shahnika Williams, part of the women's field events team, recorded a new career-best in the long jump with a lunge of 17' 3". During the track portion of the meet three runners were able to set a new mark for their careers.
Rachel Strickland (11:46.56) and Abby Nichols (12:41.18) bested their old times in the 3000 meter race, while men's distance runner, Noah Allison also captured a new best in the 3000 meter race.
The two teams will return to action on Friday, January 20 as they travel to Boone, N.C. to compete in the Appalachian State University Invitational.
