Lions Track and Field Impressive at Tennessee Rust Buster
KNOXVILLE, TENN. – The Mars Hill men’s and women’s track teams turned in brilliant performances at the University of Tennessee Rust Buster on Saturday, March 25.
KNOXVILLE, TENN. – The Mars Hill men's and women's track teams turned in brilliant performances at the University of Tennessee Rust Buster on Saturday, March 25.
On the men's side Spencer Shade had a personal-best in the pole vault at 13'10", while Cameron France set a new career-bests of 10.90 in the 100m and 22.13 in the 200m. Marlon Allen also set a personal record in the 200m with a time of 22.37. Brandon Beard collected a new school record in the 800 with a time of 1:56.56 and Noah Allison had a pr in the 3,000m run with a time of 8:53.
On the women's side Shahnika Williams recorded a new best in the 100m with a time of 12.98 as well as a pr in the 200m with a time of 26.87. Jordan Bair tied her personal best with a vault of 10'6". The women's 4x100m team of Christine Foresha, Williams, Alyssa Deno and Sydney Britt had an excellent time 52.08.
Both teams will compete at Montreat College on March 31 and April 1.
