Mars Hill finishes eighth at Appalachian Open Indoor Track Meet
The Mars Hill men's track and field team placed eighth at the Appalachian Open Indoor Track Meet on Saturday afternoon. The Lions compiled 19 points over the two-day event.
BOONE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's track and field team placed eighth at the Appalachian Open Indoor Track Meet on Saturday afternoon. The Lions compiled 19 points over the two-day event.
Tyrize Claud placed fourth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.18 which picked up five points for the Lions.
In the long jump, Bryan Smith earned three points for Mars Hill with a sixth place finish. He recorded a distance of 6.60 meters.
The combination of Jared Stanley and Bryan Barbee earned seven points for Mars Hill with their fifth and sixth place finishes, respectively, in the mile run. Stanley turned in a time of 4:53.13 and Barbee ran a time of 4:57.91.

Mars Hill will next compete on January 27th at the JDL Fast Track
