Mars Hill kicks off season at Montreat Indoor Kickoff
The Mars Hill men's indoor track and field team kicked off their 2019-20 season at the Montreat Indoor Kickoff.
BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's indoor track and field team kicked off their 2019-20 season at the Montreat Indoor Kickoff.
Both Lee Prescott and Ben Goodlett set personal records in the shot put, recording distances of 11.80 and 11.16 meters, respectively.
In the mile race, Hunter Snyder placed seventh, recording a time of 5:17.11. The Lions placed four in the 3,000 meter race with James Benik as the top finisher, placing fourth with a time of 10:01.38. Skyler Cantrell finished fifth while Blake Freeman and Jared Stanley finished seventh and eighth, respectively.
The duo of Malik Frost and Malik Gibson tied in the 60 meter race, recording a time of 7.38. Gibson topped Frost and Joshua Vereen in the 200 meter, turning in a time of 23.51 for a sixth place finish. Vereen finished seventh while Frost placed eighth.
Austin Prince placed eighth in the 600 meter, recording a time of 1:36.02. Prince finished second in the long jump with a distance of 5.67 meters and third in the high jump, recording a mark of 1.57 meters.
In the weight throw, Tyler Holloway finished eighth with a mark of 9.39 meters while Goodlett placed ninth, recording a distance of 8.58 meters.
