Men's Cross Country Ranked Third in USTFCCCA Southeast Region Rankings
The Mars Hill men’s cross country team is ranked number three in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region in pre-season rankings compiled by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
NEW ORLEANS, La.- The Mars Hill men's cross country team is ranked number three in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region in pre-season rankings compiled by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Lions enter the 2014 season having won the past 17 South Atlantic Conference men's cross country championships and return three 2013 All-SAC first team runners. Mars Hill finished fourth in the Southeast Region last year, missing out on an NCAA qualifying spot by six points.
Mars Hill begins the 2014 campaign on Friday at the Catawba Invitational at 5:30 p.m.
