Lions place second overall at Greensboro XC Invitational
The Mars Hill men's cross country team placed second overall at the Greensboro XC Invitational Saturday afternoon.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's cross country team placed second overall at the Greensboro XC Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Only outran by North Carolina A&T, the Lions placed first overall over other Division II teams, turning in a combined time of 2:26:50. Noah Allison placed fourth overall, first among DII runners, turning in a time of 26:55.5. Jared Stanley finished ninth with a time of 29:03.3.
Rounding out the Lions' top five were Skylar Cantrell, Bryan Barbee and Blake Freeman. Cantrell finished 13th overall with a time of 29:34.8 while Barbee and Freeman recorded times of 30:32.1 and 30:45.4, respectively.

The Lions next race takes place on Saturday, October 5th when they partake in the Louisville Classic.
