Bio

Bradley Nagel, a 2009 Graduate of Mars Hill University is entering his sixth season as Assistant Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. He is originally from King, NC and was a Decathlete for Mars Hill.

While at Mars Hill, Nagel was named All Conference in the pole vault four years in a row. In his very first season he earned MVP honors and Freshman of the year. In his final Decathlon meet he broke the school record, while also setting eight personal records. Following his collegiate career at Mars Hill, Nagel has been certified by the USATF as a Level 2 Coach in the Sprints, Hurdles, Relays, Jumps and Throws. 

His athletes have excelled in his first five seasons of coaching including a 2 time All-American in the 60m Hurdles and a 2 time National Qualifier in the 110m Hurdles. He has also coached a male thrower who finished 26th in the Nation with a throw of 53 feet in the Shot Put. His top Female sprinter finished 35th in the Nation with a time of 24.52 in the 200m. Nagel has also coached 28 Female and 28 Male All-Region performances in Track and Field. In the last five years the Men’s & Women’s Track program combined for 60 new school records and the Men’s Track Team won back to back Southeast Regional Championships in 2012 & 2013. 

Nagel resides in Asheville with his wife Emily who also ran Collegiate Cross Country and Track at UNC-Asheville before graduating with a business degree in 2010.
