Bio

Tiger Norman was named an assistant coach to women’s basketball team in the summer of 2019.

Norman served as the associate head men’s basketball coach at Christ School where he recruited student-athletes, promoted events and activities as well as assisting the head coach in planning, directing and coaching the program.  While with Christ School, Norman helped lead the team to a conference title in 2016 and 2017.

Prior to Christ School, Norman served as an assistant coach/interim head coach at Warren Wilson for three season.  During that time, the Owls won the USCAA Division II National Championship for the first time in school history. 

Norman began his coaching career in 2001 as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Asheville High School.  The team won the North Carolina State title from 2003-05.  For the 2005 season, Norman was named the head men’s basketball coach and in 2007, led the team to Sectional Championships and the Regional Semi-Finals; the first time the school had been in 30 years.  In 2008, Norman was named an assistant coach for the White team in the Blue-White All-Star Game.

Norman has been a teacher at Asheville High School since 2005, teaching in the Career and Technical Education Department.
