Lions Head to SAC Championship this Weekend
MARS HILL, N.C.- The Mars Hill women's golf team will compete in the South Atlantic Conference Championship, which begins with qualifying rounds Saturday in Sevierville, Tenn.
The Lions enter the tournament having placed in the top 10 of six tournaments between the fall and spring seasons. The SAC Championship Tournament will be held at the Sevierville Golf Club. The three-round women's tournament will be contested on the Highlands Course. The first round will be held Sunday, with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. The tournament concludes Tuesday.

Mars Hill's highest finish this season came at the SCSU Bulldog Invitational, where the Lions placed second. Jacqueline McCormick paced the Lions in that tournament by carding a 78.
McCormick has carded Mars Hill's best score a team-high four times. Sarah Johnson and Victoria Barrett have each posted the Lions' best score three times.
Other notable finishes for MHC have included a third-place
finish in the Benedict College Invitational Feb 20 and a
fourth-place finish in the Converse Invitational last fall. The
Lions most recently placed 17th in the Agnes McAmis Memorial, which
concluded Tuesday.
