Lundvall Finishes in Second at Pioneer Classic
Emma Lundvall finished in a tie for second place at the Pioneer Classic on Sunday.
GREENEVILLE, TENN. - Emma Lundvall finished in a tie for second place at the Pioneer Classic on Sunday. Lundvall shot an 80 on a cold, blustery day at the 5,842-yard Nolichucky View Golf Club. The tournament was shortened to a single day, 18-hole format after snow wiped out the opening round on Saturday.
Victoria Barrett followed Lundvall with an 85, finishing in a tie for sixth place. Sarah Johnson fired a 91 to finish in 12th while Katie Stroupe shot a 99 to finish in a tie for 22nd playing as an individual. Courtney Jo Simpkins finished in a tie for 24th (106), with Raven Brown finishing tied for 27th (109). The Lions finished with a team score of 362 and in fourth place.
Spartanburg Methodist's Nikita Arjun was the individual winner with a five-over-par 76. Tusculum was the team winner by three strokes over Lincoln Memorial with a 345 team score.
The Pioneer Classic concludes the fall portion of the women's golf schedule.
