Lions Finish Sixth at Etowah Intercollegiate
Mars Hill finished in sixth place at the season-opening Etowah Intercollegiate
ETOWAH, N.C.- The Mars Hill women's golf team finished in sixth place at the season-opening Etowah Intercollegiate, held at the Etowah Valley Country Club.
Emma Lundvall led Mars Hill with a second round 85 and a combined score of 165, which put her in a tie for ninth place overall. Raven Brown and Victoria Barrett each finished the second round with a 91. Brown finished the tournament with a 179, putting her in a tie for 26th. Marie Syvertsen finished her first collegiate tournament in 32nd after a final round 95. Lindsey Ball wrapped up the tournament with a 98. Courtney Jo Simpkins and Katie Stroupe each competed as individuals.
Lincoln Memorial's Reagan Greene was the individual medalist with a 153. The Lady Railsplitters won the tournament with a team score of 626, with Queens finishing in second with a team score of 650. The Lions finished their first tournament with a 715.
Mars Hill returns to action on Monday and Tuesday at the Tusculum Fall Classic.
