Lions in last after first round of Fall Slam
The Mars Hill women's golf team sit in last place after the first round of the Flagler Fall Slam. Marie Syvertsen was the top Lions finisher after the first 18 holes.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Mars Hill women's golf team sit in last place after the first round of the Flagler Fall Slam. Marie Syvertsen was the top Lions finisher after the first 18 holes.
Syvertsen shot eight over par and is tied for 58th. Janie Gooch shot 11 over and is in a four-way tie for 76th.
The Lions shot a total of 61 over par. They sit four shots behind Eastern Florida State heading into the final round.

The final round of the Fall Slam will wrap up Tuesday, October 24. Mars Hill's Courtney Simpkins will start off the round and tee off at 9:39 a.m. from the 10th hole.
