ELGIN, S.C. - Janie Gooch sits tied for 26th at the end of the first round of the Newberry Fall Invitational after shooting 12 over par. The Lions as a team sit in last place.
Gooch ended eight holes with a par score, leading Mars Hill. Marie Syvertsen finished the day with a +18 to place her in 38th.
Emilee Wenmouth is tied for 39th with a score of +19 while Jasmine Chesnut and Courtney Jo Simpkins rounded out the field with scores of +99 and +116, respectively.
