Mars Hill sits in 11th after first round of SAC Championships

The Mars Hill women's golf team finished the first round of the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Championships on Sunday afternoon in 11th place.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team finished the first round of the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Championships on Sunday afternoon in 11th place.

Janie Gooch was the top finisher for the Lions, placing 50th after shooting +21 on the day. Tied for 51st, Marie Syvertsen and Emilee Wenmoth each recorded a score of +22 at the conclusion of the first round.

Jasmine Chesnut and Courtney Jo Simpkins rounded out the Mars Hill participants, placing 54th and 55th overall.
