Hokanson earns All-SAC First Team honors
Mars Hill’s Olivia Hokanson was named to the 2018 All-South Atlantic Conference Women’s Lacrosse First Team, as announced by the league Thursday afternoon.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Mars Hill's Olivia Hokanson was named to the 2018 All-South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse First Team, as announced by the league Thursday afternoon.
Hokanson started in all 15 games for the Lions in their inaugural season and scored in every contest. She scored the first-ever goal in program history just 15 seconds into the first game of the year against Brevard, leading the team with six points (4g, 2a) in the victory.
The Crofton, Maryland native would go on to score 65 goals on the year, which placed second in the SAC. Her standout game was against Montevallo on March 11, where she scored nine goals, including the game winner with 12 seconds remaining. She also finished the season third in the conference with 89 draw controls.
The senior attack earned SAC Offensive Player of the Week in the final week of the regular season.
Hokanson's 65 goals accounted for 43 percent of the goals scored by the Lions this season.
