Lancaster named to All-SAC second team
GK Sellars led SAC in save percentage
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill freshman defender Grace Lancaster has been named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer second team in a list of the league's award winners that was announced on Thursday.
Lancaster started 17 games this season. She recorded one goal and one assist.
Senior goalkeeper Becca Sellars led the league in save percentage. She started six games in 2011 and registered a save percentage mark of 0.863.
Lenoir-Rhyne senior defender Catherine Hauck was named SAC Player of the Year for the second-straight season. Lenoir-Rhyne's Hanna Kiebel was named the SAC Freshman of the Year. Lenoir-Rhyne head coach Adrian Blewitt was also named the league's Coach of the Year.
The SAC Fair Play Award, which recognizes the team that averaged the fewest number of red and yellow cards in conference play, ended in a three-way tie this season between Anderson, Lincoln Memorial and Wingate.
