Women’s Soccer Loses to Lander
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Lions' women's soccer team lost to Lander University, 2-0, Wednesday night in the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium. Mars Hill fell to 4-3-1 on the season while the Bearcats improved to 6-1 on the year.
Kendall Couch scored the first goal of the match at the 15:30 mark off a cross from Christina Barbour. Casey Black extended the Bearcats lead to 2-0 when she found the back of the net from 20 yards out in the 28th minute. Black's goal was unassisted. That would be all the scoring the first half would see.
