Women's Soccer Picked to Finish 10th in 2014
The Mars Hill women’s soccer team was picked to finish in 10th place in the South Atlantic Conference by the league’s coaches.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team was picked to finish in 10th place in the South Atlantic Conference by the league's coaches in the preseason poll released on Wednesday.
Mars Hill received 31 points, with ninth place Anderson racking up 44 points and 11th place Coker tallying 24 points. In 2013, the Lions finished with a 4-11-12 overall record and a 2-8-1 conference mark.
The Lions return last year's leading scorer in senior forward Rachel Weber. Weber found the back of the net five times in 2013 and tallied one assist. Junior goalkeeper Tori Stajduhar was third in the SAC with 83 saves.
Mars Hill opens the 2014 season on Thursday, September 4 at 7 p.m. against Shorter.
