Women's Soccer Falls at Coker

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Mars Hill fell to Coker College 4-0 in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action Saturday evening at the Coker Soccer Complex. The Lions are now 0-12 overall and 0-7 in the SAC. The Cobras improved to 3-9 on the season and 2-5 in the league.
Trah Monroe scored the first two goals for the Cobras in the 10th and 45th minutes of the contest. Renee Ledesma and Jena Pacyna assisted the goals, respectively. Coker enjoyed a 2-0 advantage at the intermission.
Pacyna then added a goal of her own at the 79:58 mark to give the Cobras a 3-0 lead. Erica Snyder assisted Pacyna's goal. With less than two minutes left in the contest (88:04) Jordan Ray added an insurance goal to make the final tally 4-0 in favor of the hosts. Ledesma notched her second assist of the match on the score.
Mars Hill out shot Coker, 20-14. Coker edged the Lions in corner kicks, 4-3. Tori Stajduhar played all 90 minutes in goal for MHU and made four saves. Lizz Morris also played the entire match in the net for the Cobras and made 10 saves.
Mars Hill will play at Erskine on Monday, October 13. Match time in Due West, S.C., is set for 7 p.m.
