Women’s Swimming Defeats Owls
SWANNANOA, N.C. - In the final regular season meet of the season, Mars Hill's men's and women's swimming teams completed a sweep over Warren Wilson College in dual meet action Saturday. The men earned a 132-57 victory, while the women won 157-74. The men finish the regular season 7-4, while the women finish with a 9-3 record.

Seniors swimming in their last dual meet excelled for both the men's and women's teams. For the men's team, P.J. Maloney won the 100 back, 100 fly, and both relay events in which he competed. On the women's side, Nikki Holt won the 200 free, 100 fly, and both relay events; Megan won the 200 breast; and Alexis Meyers won both the 100 and 200 back.
Other winners for the men's team included Tyler Treadway (100 free, 500 free and free relay), Justin Gale (200 free, 500 free and free relay), Audley Elder (100 breast, 200 breast and medley relay), and Trey McGraw (200 back, 200 individual medley and medley relay).
Additional winners for the women's team were Nicole Day (50 free, 500 free and medley relay), Miranda Schmidt (200 individual medley and medley relay), Rachel Louviaux (200 fly and free relay), Megan Bartlett (200 breast) and Maggie Mills (100 free and medley relay).
Both teams will next compete in the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships, which will be held Feb. 17-18 in Baurberville, Ky.
