Women's Swimming Finishes NC State Invitational in 11th
The Mars Hill women’s swimming team finished in 11th place at the NC State Invitational held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's swimming team finished in 11th place at the NC State Invitational held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
In the 200 Medley Relay, Rachel Louviaux, Abby Harty, Elle Grier and Maggie Norton finished with a time of 2:01.74. Louviaux was the lone Mars Hill representative in the 100 Yard Butterfly, finishing in 1:11.93. She was also the sole Lion competitor in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:11.28. Harty earned a 26th place result in the 200 Yard Freestyle as the freshman crossed the line in 2:00.26. Grier and Duffy finished in 13th and 14th respectively in the 1650 Freestyle. The duo also competed in the 200 Yard Backstroke.
Harty led the way for Mars Hill in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a finishing mark of 56.56 seconds. Grier was the lone Lion swimmer in the 200 Yard Butterfly, finishing in 2:26.27. The quartet of Harty, Grier, Norton and Louviaux closed out the meet with a 25th place finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay, completing the race in 3:57.18.
Mars Hill returns to action in two weeks against Lenoir-Rhyne at Harrell Pool.
