Harty Earns Second Consecutive ASC Swimmer of the Week Award
Mars Hill freshman Abby Harty has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the second consecutive week and fourth time this season.
SOUTH EUCLID, OHIO - Mars Hill freshman Abby Harty has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the second consecutive week and fourth time this season, conference officials announced on Wednesday.
Harty set new school records with wins in the 100 Breaststroke (1:08.83) and the 200 Individual Medley (2:13.42) in a dual meet victory over conference foe West Virginia Tech. Harty was also the winner in the 100 Butterfly (1:04.20). Her conference ranks following last weekend's action are as follows: 50 Freestyle (21st), 100 Freestyle (13th), 200 Freestyle (5th), 500 Freestyle (3rd), 100 Breaststroke (1st), 200 Breaststroke (3rd), 100 Butterfly (16th), 200 IM (1st), and the 400 IM (2nd).
Mars Hill is off this weekend before competing in the Fall Frenzy Invitational at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Center in Charlotte next weekend.
