Women's Swimming Finishes in Third at Igloo Invite
MHU wins four events on the final day of the meet
SEWANEE, TENN. – The Mars Hill women's swimming team finished in third place at the Igloo Invite on Saturday. The Lions had four event wins in Saturday final events.
Abby Harty won the 200 Breaststroke in 2:28.53. Rachel Nichols claimed the 100 Butterfly, finishing in a new school record 58.87 seconds. Elle Grier claimed the 1650 Freestyle in a meet record 18:10.43. JJ Washshah was the runner-up in the 100 Backstroke (1:02.55).
Grier, Harty, Nichols and Washshah won the 200 Medley Relay, touching first in with a new school record time of 1:52.72.
The Igloo Invite was the final meet of the fall semester for the Lions as they return to action on January 9 at St. Andrews.
