Women's Swimming Claims Fourth Place
CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill women’s swim team wrapped up the ASC Conference Meet with a solid fourth place finish out of 15 teams.
CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill women's swim team wrapped up the ASC Conference Meet with a solid fourth place finish out of 15 teams. Several swimmers were able to make an impact on the standings during the concluding day of the meet.
Elle Grier was able to set a new school record in the 1650 free with a sensational time of 17:59.61. Grier also finished in eighth in the 200 back for the Lions.
Elle Grier, Abby Harty, Kathryn Boland, and Rachel Nichols of the 400 free relay team had another impressive outing with a fifth place finish.
Boland and Washshah were also able to capture sixth place finishes in the 200 breast and 100 free, respectively. Harty garnered eighth place in the 200 breast.
The team will return to action Saturday, February 20 as they head to the Queen City of Charlotte, N.C. to compete in the Queens Invite.
