Women's Swimming Concludes Igloo Invitational
SEWANEE, TENN. – The Mars Hill women’s swim team completed the 4th Igloo Invitational in fourth place on Saturday afternoon.
SEWANEE, TENN. – The Mars Hill women's swim team completed the 4th Igloo Invitational in fourth place on Saturday afternoon.
Kathryn Boland was a part of four wins during the finals, winning the 200 and 400 IM as well as the 100 breast. Boland was also on the winning 400 medley relay team. During the 400 IM, Boland touched the wall with a new meet record (4:37.67).
Salliemae Blethroad took home top honors in the 200 back and was on the 400 medley relay team with Boland. Abby Harty and Rachel Nichols were the other two members of the winning relay team.
Host, Sewanee captured the team crown for the meet, while Asbury and Campbellsville finished in second and third, respectively.
The meet concludes the fall portion of the Lions schedule and they will return to the pool on Friday, January 13, 2017 as they travel to Bristol, Tenn. to dual with King. That meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
