Boland Garners Another Swimmer of the Week Nod
MARS HILL, N.C. – Sophomore swimmer Kathryn Boland has been named the Appalachian Swim Conference Female Swimmer of the Week as announced by the league today.
MARS HILL, N.C. – Sophomore swimmer Kathryn Boland has been named the Appalachian Swim Conference Female Swimmer of the Week as announced by the league today. This is Boland's third recognition on the season.
Boland established some impressive times at the Igloo Invite this past weekend. She won the 100 breast with a time of 1:09.02, 200 IM in a time of 2:10.44, and 400 IM with a time of 4:37.67. She swam the 100 fly exhibition in 59.20 and lead-off the 400 free relay with a 55.12 in her 100 free. The 400 IM time broke the Mars Hill school record by nine seconds and more impressively, Boland has not lost an individual race this season.
The Lions have concluded the fall portion of their schedule and will return to the pool on Friday, January 13 when they travel to Bristol, Tenn. to face King University.
