Women's Swimming Earns Duals Win
MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill women’s swim team finished a stellar dual season with victories over St. Andrews (151-65), UNC Pembroke (186-31), and Warren Wilson (192-19) on Saturday afternoon.
MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's swim team finished a stellar dual season with victories over St. Andrews (151-65), UNC Pembroke (186-31), and Warren Wilson (192-19) on Saturday afternoon. The Lions finish with an overall 11-1 record.
Kathryn Boland took first place in four events to lead the Lions, capturing the 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM. Abby Harty collected the 1000 and 200 free events, while Rachel Nichols and Sallimae Blethroad took the 50 free and 200 back, respectively. Those four swimmers also teamed up to win the 200 medley relay. Jessica Minton (200 breast) and Mara Trowbridge (500 free) also picked up wins for the Blue and Gold.
The Lions will now turn their attention to the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships from February 8-11 in Christiansburg, Va.
