Lions Conclude Day Two of Conference In Fourth Place
CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill women’s swim team dropped two spots to number four following day two of the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships on Thursday, February 09.
CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill women's swim team dropped two spots to number four following day two of the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships on Thursday, February 09. The Lions, who have 150 total points, sit behind Brenau University (266), Emmanuel (Ga.) College (232), and West Virginia Wesleyan College (157).
Kathryn Boland blistered the field in the 200 IM on her way to a first-place finish as well as a new school record with a time of 2:08.51. Abby Harty picked up where she left off on day one with another solid performance, this time earning second place in the 500 free (5:07.29), taking almost four seconds off of her prelim time.
The Lions are back in the pool tomorrow morning for day three-of-four of the 2017 ASC Championships and will look to improve on their overall standings.
