Mars Hill represented at FINA World Swimming Championships
Mars Hill swimmers Lorna Doorman and alum Ludovico Corsini swam at the 14th FINA World Swimming Championships held in Hangzhou, China from December 11-16th.
HANGZHOU, CHINA - Mars Hill swimmers Lorna Doorman and alum Ludovico Corsini swam at the 14th FINA World Swimming Championships held in Hangzhou, China from December 11-16th.
Doorman represented her home country of Zimbabwe this past week. She swam in the 200 and 400 meter freestyle races, respectively. She placed fourth in heat two of the 200 meter with a time of 2:12.83 and second in heat one of the 400 meter with a time of 4:39.58.
Representing Mozambique, Corsini swam in the 50 meter breaststroke, placing third in his heat with a time of 28.12. In the 100 meter breaststroke, Corsini placed sixth with a time of 1:04.18.
"I am so proud of these two. They represent their countries and Mars Hill University in such a positive way," head swim coach Teddy Guyer said. "Ludo has done many great things since leaving MHU in 2015, and Lorna will continue to help our team in great ways until she graduates next year."
