Horton sets school record on day three of BMC Championships
Mars Hill's Haley Horton set a school record in the 100 yard backstroke on day three of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships Friday afternoon.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Mars Hill's Haley Horton set a school record in the 100 yard backstroke on day three of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships Friday afternoon.
Horton turned in a time of 58.81 to set the new record. She placed seventh in the B-Final.
Sarah Shapiro, in the 100 yard breaststroke, placed sixth in the B-Final, recording a time of 1:08.64.
In the 200 yard freestyle relay, the quartet of Savannah Maddox, Ashley Hicks, Jessica Minton, and Lorna Doorman placed seventh with a time of 1:43.72.
The Lions remain in seventh place with a total of 106 points after three days of competition.
