Mars Hill begins 2019 season at King Early Invite
The Mars Hill women's swim team opened up their 2019 season Friday evening at the King Early Invite, ending the night in sixth place.
KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's swim team opened up their 2019 season Friday evening at the King Early Invite, ending the night in sixth place.
Haley Horton finished sixth in the 200 yard IM, turning in a time of 2:17.11. In the 500 yard freestyle, Lorna Doorman placed 12th with a time of 5:30.80.
Horton, along with Jessica Minton, Leah Hinsley, and Ashley Hicks placed eighth in the 200 yard freestyle relay, recording a time of 1:46.25. Doorman, teaming with Abbie Hinsley, Brianna Broussard and Elena Massa finished sixth in the 800 yard freestyle relay with a time of 8:29.94.
The Lions ended the day with 82 points.
