Lions come from behind, defeat UVa-Wise
The Mars Hill women's tennis team (2-0) won their final three singles matches to down UVa-Wise (0-3) Saturday morning at the Hart Tennis Complex.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (2-0) won their final three singles matches to down UVa-Wise (0-3) Saturday morning at the Hart Tennis Complex.
After taking all three doubles contests to earn the point, the Lions dropped their first three singles matches in straight sets. The trio of Victoria Franklin, Haley Steinkamp and Kat Horner were able to secure straight set victories and provide Mars Hill the 4-3 come-from-behind win.
The Lions look to win their third straight when they host Converse on Wednesday, September 26 at the Hart Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
