Lions fall to Bulldogs on road in SAC play
The Mars Hill women's tennis team (7-4, 0-2 SAC) were downed 7-0 to No. 19 Wingate (5-0, 1-0 SAC) Monday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference play.
WINGATE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (7-4, 0-2 SAC) were downed 7-0 to No. 19 Wingate (5-0, 1-0 SAC) Monday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference play.
After dropping all three doubles competitions, the Lions' Evan Lake put up a valiant battle against No. 14 Michela Verpelli, but was ultimately taken down in two sets in singles action.
Mars Hill returns to action on Saturday, March 2nd in non-conference action versus Southern Wesleyan. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
