Lions downed by Indians in conference play
The Mars Hill women's tennis team (8-8, 0-5 SAC) was shutout by Catawba (11-4, 2-2 SAC) Friday afternoon at the Hart Tennis Complex.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (8-8, 0-5 SAC) was shutout by Catawba (11-4, 2-2 SAC) Friday afternoon at the Hart Tennis Complex.
The Lions were swept in doubles play, heading into singles action down 1-0. Evan Lake, Julianne Launay and Victoria Franklin pushed their respective opponents in the their matches, but ultimately fell in straight sets.
The Lions return to the courts on Wednesday, March 27th in South Atlantic Conference play versus Carson-Newman. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
