Lions sit in seventh after day one of SAC Championships
The Mars Hill women's indoor track and field team opened up the South Atlantic Conference Championships in seventh place on Saturday.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's indoor track and field team opened up the South Atlantic Conference Championships in seventh place on Saturday.
The Lions accumulated nine points on day one to place seventh heading into Sunday's finale.
Shahnika Williams collected four points for the Lions with her sixth place finish in the long jump. She recorded a distance of 5.40 meters. Delaney Taylor added another four points in the pole vault, placing fifth in the pole vault. She recorded a mark of 2.90 meters.
In the 4000 meter distance medley relay, the team of Kylee Peck, Arriel Smith, Sydney Britt and Nyla Feeney placed eighth with a time of 13:27.32 for the final point earned on the day.
